Wall and Floor Contour Graphics are designed to adhere to hard, rigid surfaces. The beauty of the material is that it just lays onto the surface like it's a painted graphic. Follow these steps to ensure proper installation of your sign.
a. The surface must be clean. If surface is oily, it may need to be power washed, and possibly use a commercial degreaser. Avoid applying over loose dirt, oily residues, flaking paint, and other foreign objects that will interfere with proper bonding.
b. The surface must be thoroughly dry.
c. The recommended surface temperature is 32°F or higher.
- Lay printed side down on a flat surface then peel the release liner from the foil surface.
- Lay adhesive side to desired wall placement. Apply light pressure by hand to the top of the graphic.
Level the top edge of the graphic. Don't worry if you don't get the alignment right the first try. The adhesive is forgiving enough for you to peel and realign.
- Starting from the top, use the squeegee(or roller) to smooth out the graphic against the wall.
- For walls with grout lines, allow the graphic to conform into the crevices. Use the squeegee to indent into the grout lines, one row at a time.
Make sure the edges are compressed well. Do not span material between surfaces such as bricks on walls; these gaps can allow moisture to get behind the graphics and break down the acrylic adhesive.
